How Does It Work?

How Does It Work?

CityBOT uses a classical market proven strategy to trigger the signal but with a twist. Using a well known MACD flip or signal line cross as the initial signal, which is used by many; the expert advisor also incorporates a combination of moving averages as a filter. This helps to reduce false signals. The E/A uses a T1, T2 style take profit, as well as a hard stop that is smaller than the T1. Many of the parameters can also be adjusted by the user. It works on a 4 hour chart so it may, at times, take weeks to find the right conditions for the E/A to place a trade.

Expert Advisors are not intended (in our opinion), as a complete strategy or comprehensive approach to FX trading, but as a supplement to a traders overall trading plan. E/A are built on strategies. Strategies are designed to work under certain market conditions. As a result, there are certain market conditions that may not be friendly to a particular strategy. Although great length is taken to filter out these negative conditions, the limitations of the software and technology is not able to do so completely.

This E/A has been tested for over one year, with great results, and is the only reason we feel comfortable in selling it. We suggest that you trade it on a demo and become very comfortable with the E/A before using any real money.
